Any ideas?

I cook once a week for 'mum and dad' and grandchildren which is usually shepherds pie and fish pie. Grandchildren's ages are 3 and 4. I try to make meals that all the family likes. They all like chicken, mince, fish and soups. I feel some of my soups lack a good flavour. Any ideas?

I use Marigold Swiss Vegetable Bouillon Stock in my vegetable soups. It gives a deeper flavour than some of the others. Just fetched the packet to check and it says "Contains no preservatives, colouring, artificial flavouring, or genetically modified material"

Riverwalk, thanks for the link. I think I will try the chicken and chorizo recipe. It sounds similar to chicken basque (Delia recipe I think) but easier.
