crumpets

Thanks Shysal- OH will get some rings when he goes over in a few weeks (not going this time as we are a bit stuck at the mo with geriatric dogs !)

A digress- does a friend told be Paul Holywood had a bakery in Canterbury years ago. Excellent, but went bankrupt- and debtors were apparently never paid, and many Canterbury people are therefore not fans of PH.
Can anyone remember this?

M&S pikelets are even better than crumpets especially with honey

shysal I don't put bicarbonate of soda in my crumpet mix. I think the yeast is enough. You don't have to use special crumpet rings; plain metal 3-inch biscuit cutters work just as well.
