I'm doing middle eastern lamb chops. 340 cals per portion.
Serves 4
4 lamb chops
Tin of mandarin segments

Sauce
5oz yoghurt
1 Apple peeled and cored
1 onion chopped
1 tablespoon each of tomato purée,chutney and curry powder.
Salt and pepper to taste.

Put chops and drained mandarin segments in slow cooker

Liquididise the sauce ingredients and pour over

Cook until lamb is tender.

Easy

If made that Galen OH would eat 4 lamb chops all by himself, he loves lamb chops grin sounds delicious.

Katek Mon 21-Sept-15 18:28:46

Porridge......don't suppose that counts as cooking, but have had dodgy innards all day.

Aurelia Mon 21-Sept-15 18:30:06

Pasta Vongole here, with cheese and figs later.

I bet that lamb dish would work with apricots too, Galen.

wine clink-clink

chelseababy Mon 21-Sept-15 18:42:49

Leftover roast chicken and veg from yesterday, feeling quite deprived after the feasts above!

janerowena Mon 21-Sept-15 18:45:16

Almost exactly the same as galen, only with chicken and apple (to use up as many as possible) mushrooms and squash - on spaghetti squash. The sauce has a big dollop of brandy and marsala in it. It's nearly ready... I am so hungry!

Indinana Mon 21-Sept-15 18:56:48

I'm just about to go in the kitchen to beat the bejesus out of a couple of chicken breast fillets and then coat them in egg and breadcrumbs to fry shock and eat with some oven chips shock. I shall have a bowl of raspberries from the garden afterwards [makingupforitemoticon]

loopylou Mon 21-Sept-15 18:58:41

Delicious local farm shop sausages, buttery mash and the last of homegrown runner beans with onion gravy.

I have to wait until 7pm for my evening meal because have to collect OH and resident teenager, because most meals are family meals for economy reasons, some can be served individually some not so easily, but tonight we have had roasted chicken, potatoes ,stuffing and veg,yorkshires...have cut chicken in half and frozen other half so to use every bit which will be used in a curry...maybe later in the week

Galen Mon 21-Sept-15 21:27:44

shysal you eat raw prawns?

BlackeyedSusan Mon 21-Sept-15 22:47:50

<wanders back in>

red sauce and spaghetti.

Red sauce, before there are too many aghast sounds, consists of a variety of vegetables in a chopped tomato sauce. It did have seeds in, unfortunatly ds has left a little offering in the form of a pile of carefully picked out pumpkin seeds on the carpet. Oh the joys of autism. next time I shall blend the buggers first

kittylester Tue 22-Sept-15 06:33:09

We had cold roast pork (left over from Sunday) bubble and squeak (including left over honey roast carrots from Sunday) coleslaw ( which I just happened to have in the fridge!) and various pickles.

Today we are having slowcooked beef curry.

whitewave Tue 22-Sept-15 07:43:07

Today I plan to have Turkey Enchiladas (must get it out of freezer) and make a peach (gone a bit soft) sponge and custard.

NanKate Tue 22-Sept-15 07:49:10

Galen I don't have a slow cooker, but I do fancy cooking your exotic dish. Can it be done on a low heat in the oven do you think ? Do you sear the chops beforehand ?

I start my pre-colonoscopy diet tomorrow (sorry too much information) so I think a good helping of Spag Bol will be in the menu tonight.
