Black Russian : Vodka (which I don't usually like) Tia Maria and cola. Ends up with a sort of chocolatety taste!

I saw an interesting recipe the other day, which I haven't tried yet but sounds good

Poinsettia: Sparkling wine, cranberry juice and orange liqueur (Lidl do a cheap one, lower alcohol than the famous brands, but around £6)

But of course I do love Champagne cocktails!

Sounds bloomin' lush kittylester

Creme de Peche is a liqueur not your ordinary peach juice!! [hic]

It cost £8,800 which is obscene of course

The consolation is that someone else is making a living out of these stupid people tchgrin
Silver lining and all that

Ah thank you - without then in this house.

Only if it's Irish whiskey. The Scots drink whisky!

I sometimes make a Moscow mule which DH likes - likes all things gingery really. He likes a Whiskey Mac but its not really a cocktail (never know if whiskey should have an e or not).

Like you I have looked everywhere for peach juice NanSue and have only found it in Waitrose. Blueberry Bellini sounds scrumptious. Now where to find blueberry juice............

NanSue Thu 17-Dec-15 13:40:47

Snap gillybob That is exactly how I make a peach Bellini! I can't get the peach juice anywhere other than Waitrose though even though I've looked everywhere. For a change I add a little grenadine to it. I had a blueberry Bellini the other evening in Frankie & Benny's but I can't find pure blueberry juice anywhere.

Vodka, Ginger beer and freshly squeezed lime juice made in a jug. It's called a Moscow Mule and is quite delicious.

I use fresh peach juice from Waitrose kittylester (we don't have a Waitrose near us so DD brings me a few bottles when she can)

It makes a delicious Bellini. Just Prosecco and Peach juice. Easy peasy.

I'm going to look for that Creme de peche in Aldi though. Yummmmmyyyy

Friends made a fabulous cocktail with melon liqueur and goodness knows what. 1st was lovely, 2nd was delicious, the 3rd was interesting, the 4th I don't remember........

First and last time I had a liqueur ?

I love a Bellini too! Nine is much quicker than that though! One third Creme de peche and two thirds prosecco. Aldi have a lovely Creme de peche for £8.99. Might try the brandy one!! wine

Woooppeeee! 20th time lucky !

gillybob Thu 17-Dec-15 12:50:29

I saw that program too Teetime It is obscene how some people are so rich they don't know what to spend it on (like that young Russian girl) and others don't know where their next meal will come from. Life is just so unfair.

Anyway back to subject in hand.....

My favourite cocktail is a Bellini. Dee bloomin' lishus smile

Did anyone see the worlds most expensive cocktail on the TV programme entitled something like The Most Expensive Christmas a few nights ago. It cost £8,800 which is obscene of course but it got me thinking about sharing cocktail favourites on here. I'm not big on cocktails but a champagne cocktail made with a teaspoon (or 2) of brandy, 1 sugar cube topped up with champagne is a Christmas special for me. What's yours? wine
