Wondering what to have for brekkie number two...

Not cereal with milk because I don't need that much dietary roughage just at the moment (IBS).

More home-made chocolate brownie with thick cream, which is what I had for brekkie number one at 0630...? Nah, I might have some more of that later.

I know: finger rolls (bought for Minibags for her hot dog sausages but which she isn't eating) with salt beef and some home-made chutney a friend gave me. Yes.

You?

I had warmed chocolate Birthday cake for breakfast. DS is 19 today.

Take away lamb Rogan Josh with trimmings for tea. DS at friend's house so celebrating alone.

More warm Birthday cake and Ovaltine (not had this for years) for supper.

Delicious. cupcake

Today I have eaten:

Bowl of porridge (no sugar or lovely delicious golden syrup) [halo]
Three slices of toast with marmite. [halo still shining]
4 Welsh cakes [halo slipped]
2 buttercream cakes from Church Spring Fair [halo gone]
Bowl of Angel Delight with little pot of jelly, from same Spring Fair [no further talk of halos]

Five breakfasts. Time for tea. smile

Apple crumble!...with or without custard, works for me.

Two slices of toast with my mate Marmite. Couldn't face the granola today - too much of an uphill struggle! I will be good and have some fruit shortly.

Slice of homemade wholemeal bread (40g) toasted, spread with 15g Whole Earth Crunchy peanut butter, topped with 1 banana mashed with squeeze of lemon juice, a goodly shake of cinnamon, ginger and ground cloves and 5g each of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and walnuts. Heaven! wink

My first breakfast at 03.15 consisted of just plain white bread and butter. I usually have cheese in toast or a sandwich of some sort or, if I'm feeling wealthy, I buy a sausage sandwich from the local butcher. (A nice fresh bread roll with four or so thin links of sausage, cooked to perfection) for my second breakfast which I usually eat between 07.30 and 0800. That's when I sit down and say Good Morning!?

I started LCHF last year.My first breakfast was bacon, egg tomatoes and mushrooms fried in butter.I thought I had died and gone to heaven.I did lose weight and I was eating what I wanted. Not carbs though.Another benefit My IBS disappeared after 5 years of suffering..That was the best thing as some times I couldn't go out.I found this on Diabetes uk I clicked on Dr Diet and I couldn't believe what I read.If you want to lose weight without going hungry you could do worse..Good luck

What good timing coming across this topic when I was deciding the same thing - have 2 breakfasts most days (of course doing jobs in between - sometimes!)
Think the fruity tealoaf is shouting out to be toasted then butter and jam on.

Protein keeps you full longer than carbs. Look at the animal world. Meat eaters eat every few days, or longer, grass eaters/grazers have to eat constantly.

I like 2 breakfasts on a Saturday - first one at 6 was mushrooms and fried egg. Now I'm scoffing some kind of dried fruit bar that I brought back from holiday . Satifyingly sweet !

1rather of bacon and an egg cooked in nonstick frying pan with no added fat. For some unknown reason this will keep me going until 2ish when I'll have home made asparagus soup. Bought a catering size bag of seconds for £6 so have a freezer well stocked with soup!

Bread and cheese is good, ancient, wholesome lunch time food.

GandTea Fri 20-May-16 20:56:14

I didn't have any breakfast today, not a first one or a second one - in fact I don't think I ate anything at all until I had lunch at around 1.30 shock. But this was because I had a pelvic floor clinic appointment mid morning and spent all the time beforehand showering, doing hair and makeup..... as well as countless visits to the loo (well I always get a bit of a nervous stomach when I have these appointments blush)
So at 1.30 I made up for it with a couple of crusty white rolls and cheddar - so unhealthy, but so yummy!

Grannyknot Fri 20-May-16 19:12:04

It was super tasty bags

thatbags Fri 20-May-16 16:40:36

Galen Fri 20-May-16 16:30:50

Raspberries and cream!

Grannyknot Fri 20-May-16 15:33:28

I had a slice of toast and marmalade with tea at 6:30 a.m. (breakfast number 1) ... and the most delicious hot and spicy Pakistani Street Food dosa thingy at 11:45 a.m. (breakfast number 2).

Then I came home and had a peanut butter chocolate brownie for "breakfast dessert". grin

O.K.Linsco56 Good luck with your diet. smile

Cherrytree59 Fri 20-May-16 14:03:03

Looks like we all need our comfort food and stong coffee on GN today!

Linsco56 Fri 20-May-16 12:49:53

BBevan I'm just cutting back on carbs, not doing Paleo or Atkins and I'm trying to be healthy and avoid as much salt and fat as possible. Hopefully my stomach will shrink soon and it will take less to fill me. Always hungry on first few days of diet but just need to take my mind off it and do something different. It doesn't help that DH can eat whatever he likes without piling on the pounds!

GandTea Fri 20-May-16 12:40:45

This is why we prefer to have our carbs early in the day, keep you full and gives the body time to work them off.
