opening a tin of tuna

Has anyone got a faisafe method? Without splashing the juice everywhere or cutting fingers? My hands aren't strong enough to just pull the ring back.
It sometimes works better to use an ordinary tin opener, but tried that today and the opener didn't 'click home' properly and made a mess.
I try to keep the juice for Cat.

If you need it because you have arthritis or some other disability you can sign a form and get it VAT free.

I do not yet have one of these. I use the back of a knife to leaver up the ring pull and then put the handle of a teaspoon through and lever up the rest.

Hope this helps.

I spotted a ring puller in Lakeland today but as I favour the wooden spoon method (for tinned tomatoes) didn't bother purchasing it.

My pet hate is tinned chopped tomatoes, I can just about manage the ring pull, but can never peel the whole top off without splashing the juice everywhere.

I also have arthritis in my fingers, so I put the end of a
teaspoon through the ring, then pull grin Tuna with fresh lemon juice sprinkled over it, plus freshly ground black pepper makes a -peasant change.

N.B. I don't wish to rain on anyone's parade but, a cat mag cats stated they should only be given tuna in oil hmm

Hmm, time for a glass wine - makes watering the garden seem quicker and enjoyable grin Have been known to sing - quietly.

The ring pulls nowadays are so tough to pull - avoid like the plague if you can!

I have a small tin of corned beef sitting in my larder with no key - every time I look at it I can't be bothered to deal with the hassle involved in getting it open.
