I find tea seems to be weaker than before.
I gave up on Typhoo some years back and buy generally PG Tips or Tetley. Tetley seems weaker than it was and I read PG are putting less tea in their bags.
What tea do others use? Maybe a supermarket brand. I like tea a nice golden colour with firm flavour.

I've changed from PG Tips to Yorkshire tea for the same reason.

Only use loose leaf -ring the changes between PG Tips and Yorkshire tea

Yorkshire tea for hard water and my favourite but pricey is Everyday Teapigs. ☕️

Pittcity Sun 15-Oct-17 20:16:31

I use supermarket own brand Assam. I find blends too weak and end up using two teabags per cup.

I like my tea to be a builders brew and I use Yorkshire tea.

Nanabilly Sun 15-Oct-17 20:38:39

We use Yorkshire tea but find Tesco red label ones okay too

DanniRae Sun 15-Oct-17 21:07:45

We use Sainsbury's Red Label.

Twinings English Breakfast, black with a slice of lemon Blissss

Serkeen Sun 15-Oct-17 21:36:02

I would like to try Yorkshire tea though that sounds nice

I use loose tea so I can control how strong it is. I usually use supermarket brand loose tea packaged by country, like Pittcity

Twinings Assam mmmmm

Nannarose Mon 16-Oct-17 08:06:12

Co-op 99, loose leaf. Cup beside me!

Lindylou51 Mon 16-Oct-17 08:10:51

Sainsbury's loose leaf Red Label for me.

Greyduster Mon 16-Oct-17 08:42:51

I buy Yorkshire Tea for DH and anyone who likes strong tea, though personally it makes me shudder; I like TickTock Rooibos, and keep Twinings Earl Grey for DD. I’ve never been much of a tea drinker though.

We always used and liked Sainsbury's Red Label. But we have no Sainsbury's near us now , so we have been trying all sorts of tea. Welsh tea is coming out top at the moment, but still is not perfect. Perhaps it is the water here.?

Twinings English Breakfast - bag in an out quickly dash of skimmed.

annodomini Mon 16-Oct-17 10:21:04

Ceylon loose leaf tea, preferably Taylor's of Harrogate but Waitrose own brand is good too.

mumofmadboys Mon 16-Oct-17 14:42:23

Earl Grey for me!

Maggiemaybe Mon 16-Oct-17 14:51:46

I’m not too fussy, but take mine weak anyway. DH likes Twinings English Breakfast, which is pretty robust, or Clipper. In Sri Lanka we were told that teabags always contain the substandard tea and sweepings up, but I’m lazy, so after a spell of brewing up proper tea I soon got back to them.

Kittye Mon 16-Oct-17 14:56:12

Twinings decaf for me.

overthehill Mon 16-Oct-17 15:30:23

Maggiemaybe I went onto teabags because the loose tea seemed to be a large percentage of dust.

LadyGracie Mon 16-Oct-17 16:01:07

M&S loose tea, strong and full of flavour

Greyduster Mon 16-Oct-17 16:58:42

My grandson brought me back a box of Smugglers Brew Cornish tea bags when he went on holiday. I suppose I should really try it, but....... hmm.
