I was really disappointed when Force wheatflakes was discontinued and there’s nothing new that’s comparable.

Oh how I miss Rice Cremola - and the very best biscuits were Royal Scot - still miss these so much.

Legs55 It was Symington's Table Cream - remember it well!

Vanilla flavour Angel Delight, ideal topping for trifles for those of us who really do not like cold custard. I used it as a topping on othe rhoeme made desserts as well.

Digging Doris I buy blancmange powders (for trifle) from Waitrose. My only complaint is that you get several flavours in a packet (strawberry raspberry vanilla and chocolate I think ) and as I only make trifle occasionally some of them go out of date, esp the chocolate flavour.

Royal Scot biscuits, delicious!

Does anyone remember ice magic -choc sauce which went hard on ice cream? Also choc arctc roll. Both were firm favourites of my children when young but not seen them lately. (The food not the children!)

M&S used to do trout pate with little bits of cucumber in it, also carrot and parnsip soup. I loved them. Also years ago, Crawfords had a dark chocolate digestive biscuit. They were oblong shaped and were delicious. Nothing compares to them.

YES!!! I am forever looking for frozen runner beans. M & S had some in the Summer last year for a few weeks, didn't get the chance to look this year. sad

granjan Tue 27-Feb-18 15:22:08

This year I mean 2017!!!

M0nica Tue 27-Feb-18 15:46:41

Kunzl cakes. How I remember them. because when they came back on the market after WW2 my mother was so delighted to see them again and I do remember how nice they were. Once they reappeared my mother would buy a box of four as a treat with Sunday tea.

granjan, frozen runner beans? I have vast quantities in my fridge, grown in the garden and cropped and frozen even more quickly than M&S.

NotSpaghetti Tue 27-Feb-18 16:58:54

Callard & Bowser’s nougat and butterscotch in their beautiful and luxurious wrappings - boxes, individual silver wraps, rice paper etc.
Also, Special K 'old' recipe. Hate this 'new' one which has more wheat I'm told.

Recently Tetley drawstring tea bags have disappeared. I found them to be very good but I must be in a minority.

Sainsburys square individual meat pies, and fruit pies too. Apples, blackcurrant ec. They sold them near the butter patter on the fresh counter. Also, raspberry ruffles. And what has happened to London cheesecakes with the coconut shreds on top.

Eskay10 Tue 27-Feb-18 17:12:24
