I like to ice my chocolate cake with just melted dark chocolate.

I have bought 70% choc for this but feel it could do with being just a tiny bit sweeter. Would adding sugar to the melted choc cause any problems do you know?

I do. Just make sure you stir well to melt the grains.

Could you add a bit of sifted icing sugar, or would it alter the texture?

I made Mars bar crispy cake recently, and spread chocolate on the top. I bought 2 bars of Co-op 's own chocolate, one dark and one milk and melted them together. I was Justine right balance of sweetness.

It was! Who on earth is Justine? And where did she come from?

I would add, no doubt. Not really a fan of dark 70% chocolate.

I have recently baked choco chips cake on ceramic cookware. I use one dark chocolate, chocolate chips and chocolate bars with it. If you need details you may check it out from kitchenappliancepro.net/best-ceramic-cookware-sets-reviews/.

I usually ad a dollop of butter and a squirtof golden syrup to melted chocolate that I'm going to use as icing. It improves the texture as well as the taste.
