Personally I've never liked dates.
But I've read that in the Biblical saying that the Holy Land is a Land flowing with milk and honey, the honey is the sweetness from dates. Not bees.
Dates are one of the 7 species special to the Holy Land.

My sister recommended this date puree provider to me knowing that we need a new provider of such products for our small online shop.
