Online shopping

I have used Ocado, Sainsbury's and Waitrose online I always spend less than if I go to the supermarket.

If I get delivered something with a short use/sell by date wherever possible I freeze it immediately (either as it is delivered or cook first)

I’ve been using Ocado for well over ten years. The only way to shop!

I have used most but I am with Morrisons these days. They have been running out of some everyday items recently but I think the B word rears its ugly head. I do not have any problems and the drivers pop the bags on my kitchen floor.

I use Sainsburys and couldn't have managed without them, also H's Alzheimer's Daddima.
Now he is no longer here I have carried on as I am not fit enough to shop.
If something has a short date, I get an email on the morning of delivery telling me and saying if I don't want them just give them back to the driver.
Also this week told, no more bags but the driver will unpack the boxes in the kitchen.

I also use online deliveries for heavy, non perishable goods but prefer to buy my fresh food myself as I find it hard to plan my meals too far ahead. But I spend a lot when I shop online as I always browse the special offers and buy things I was not planning to! Nothing gets wasted though but I can end up with piles of toilet rolls or bottles of wine!

I've just been awarded a blue badge so I'm hoping that now I can park close to the door of a supermarket my local shopping will be easier.

Sainsbury's for me. They have been very good and bring the shopping through into the kitchen. They package perishable goods separately and the delivery person always tells me this is for your fridge and freezer so I know to unpack them first.

Use Sainsbury's and Tesco. Both good. Remember to check your coupons and use them and add your nectar or storecard to get your points. If they substitute an item and you don't like it give it back to driver and it will be refunded. I expect most are similar. Tried and did not like Morrison's as they didn't have half the stuff and the site was a guddle.

We have used Sainsbury’s on-line shopping for nearly a year and wouldn’t go back to doing a weekly shop by car even if we hadn’t got rid of it a few months ago. They seem fair the way they let you hand back any near their sell by date items or substitutes. One of a pack of yogurts had its lid broken so I was given the whole pack for free. I was getting rather fed up the way some items, say loo rolls or kitchen paper towel, were unavailable for several weeks. Now realise that is often because they have changed suppliers so just go with the flow.

Have used Sainsbury's for many years since DH had his stroke in 2011. Still do now I'm on my own. Always been very satisfied. And the drivers are lovely!

I use Sainsbury’s and I am always very happy with the service.
It makes me plan meals better and only buy items I need.
Sainsbury’s offer the choice of delivering without bags.
I still use our local village shop for top ups.
Online grocery shopping must be such a boon for parents with young children.

I have used Tesco on line deliveries for many years now.
I check my cupboards, fridge and freezer and my notice board (where I write down things which have run out). Then I write a weekly list and order it online. It takes about an hour.

My partner puts it all away, when it is delivered.

We would not go back to weekly supermarket visits. I think on line shopping is a great boon. Hope it works for you. ?

Just a heads up, I have just had notification from Waitrose regarding their Christmas delivery slots.........I placed an extremely "odd" order late last night in order to secure my slot, will go and edit it in December!

Might be worth checking your supermarket website.

I can see me doing this once the weather changes. Though I'd miss scrutinising what I buy and hunting for long dates

I can't see myself trundling through the cemetery on a hoary morning somehow with an icy blast blowing around the gravestones, even with my big Uggs up to my knee-caps.

I'll see anyway.It'll be a taxi for the time being.

Tesco delivery person brings the boxes throught o my kitchen table and unpacks and tells me which is for freezer of fridge, They are wonderfully helpful and friendly too. One told me they only get 10 mins for each delivery and high flats can be a nightmare. I do hope their working conditions improve.

I go to local shops where possible but I do get heavy stuff online like tins, cat litter etc. Also every time a local shopkeeper retires or the lease is too expensive to renew it becomes a trendy wine bar or cupcake shop I avoid Amazon because they're tax dodgers (they use our roads etc but don't pay their fair share) but I do buy from ebay UK sellers when I can't find stuff locally. I also buy secondhand stuff from private ebay sellers.

I use Sainsbury's and Tesco for online shopping. I order both Perishable and Non-Perishable items and is happy with the services of both

My daughter and I use Asda and they are great. She checks all the dates before he leaves and send back anything she is not happy with. Couldn't manage without it.

Sainsburys for me. Very pleased with service. Wouldn't want to go back to going to the shop myself.

Can someone please tell me more about Ocado I’ve never used it

I use Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Iceland, have done for 2 years, no issues.

I was shielded and Asda gave me a free weekly slot. They have been brilliant. I’m not too sure what will happen when my free slots run out in a week or two. I hope I can get some paid ones.

I find Tesco Click and Collect good too. Only £1:50 and much better than going into germy shop for an hour or so. Today my large bag of birdseed was damaged and helpful lad went into the shop to get another. Hope he wasn’t attacked by germs ?

I've had online deliveries for the last few years. Used to be Morrisons but they changed the site during lockdown here from a distribution centre to picking from the town store. there's nowhere near the choice as there used to be so I use Tesco now. On the whole the dates are good. The van drivers are lovely and I pay 40p now for crate liners so I just lift it out and take it in.
I love to have a good browse at the offers and yes I do spend more than I ought to.
