On a recent Food and Hygiene course ( university run) we were told that eggs should always be kept in the fridge . Why then do supermarkets leave them sitting out ? I always put mine in the fridge .
! love hard-boiled (10 min) eggs for cold salads, and my logical (?) mind tells me that they must "keep" longer than uncooked eggs, but I was told yesterday "Wrong! boiled keep for only half the time"; no clear reason given! Can't remember when I last cracked a bad egg; full of grey/blue powder or smelt rotten! Is that because they irradiate both chicken and egg these days?
