Looks like a good blackberry year

Just been blackberrying can't believe how big and juicy they are this year my neighbour gave me apples to so its apple and blackberry pies and maybe jam too.

I got some funny looks as I was picking this evening. It's commonplace, where I come from, to pick blackberries. Maybe less so up North?

GagaJo I get funny looks whenever I’m picking one lady stopped to ask me what I was doing, she didn’t have a clue about picking Blackberrys locally.

Our back garden is overrun with blackberries and they are ripe now, and loads of them . Am going to make bramble jelly. And mix with the Bramley windfalls from daughter's garden.
Never seen so many.

Alexa my mother always called them brambles.
