I remember my mum always had this in the larder to use when decorating cakes. It was cut into small strips and tasted very sweet and green in colour. She would use it as the leaves and stem of a flower with a small piece of glace cherry as the actual flower. We loved them as they looked so pretty especially against plain white icing on fairy cakes.
