Rind on Brie

I eat the rind, DH doesn’t so I eat his. I hate waste. ?
A small round of Brie baked in the oven to dip crusty bread into is delicious.

Yes eat it all. I buy Cornish and Somerset brie now which is lovely.

No no no. Just scoop out the soft cheese in the middle and chuck the thick dried up crusty bit in the bin. Then go out and get a nice bit of Stilton and eat the lot.

Cabbie21, it wouldn't be wasted if I was around. I'd grab it!

Have you tried wrapping small pieces of Brie in something like filo or flakey pastry and cooking in oven - things such as cranberry is lovely popped inside too - little parcels with a salad make a lovely lunch. I intend to try a sharp marmalade inside next time.
Coummiers and Camembert work well too.

The rind is the best part of it. I can't really see how you can eat brie, camembert and similar cheeses without the rind anyway.

It's not just soft cheeses with me. I like the rind on cheddar too. I mean real cheddar not the soapy muck you get wrapped in plastic from the supermarket. Also I like chewing on the leathery rind of parmesan but that I know is downright eccentric of me.

I always eat the rind. Someone will correct me, but I believe the French eat the rind as they do that of Camembert.

I eat it. I like the stronger flavour in the rind and the chewy texture.
