Mine in a topical one .
I have never eaten turkey.

When I was a child we had a capon at Christmas for some reason . I haven’t ever heard of one since ? Did I imagine it ?

From the age of about 18 I stopped eating meat and will now never taste it .

Oysters and any sort of shellfish - my husband used to call them "sewage filters" - well actually he put it more crudely than that. grin

Gosh, why would you see Laverbread in the same category as tripe, heart, brains, pig's trotters, fish eyes, whale meat or shark? Seems odd to me!

It's not in the same category as the rest but it does seem an unnatural thing to eat, at least to me. It turns my stomach, just maybe not as severely as the others I listed.

I bought some laver bread in Tenby market once. I was told to fry it in bacon fat. I know it’s very good for you, but it was truly horrible. Even DH wouldn’t eat it and he’s Welsh!

It is disgusting isn't it!

I've never eaten larverbread, tripe, heart, brains, pig's trotters, fish eyes, whale meat or shark. The thought of eating anything like that turns my stomach. They all seem like an incredibly unnatural thing to eat.

They all sound gross x

I've eaten smoked oysters out of a tin-----they went through me like a Porsche, so raw ones a definite no no.

@EllanVannin grin I can't deal with anything slimy x

I hate fruit, I have hated it all my life although I will eat banana but given the choice I will avoid it

I've never eaten shell fish- it looks so slimy and disgusting and I'm not keen on strong fishy tastes anyway. I only eat cod/plaice.

Once or twicè when we were ony three at Christmas I bought a capon which is simply a large chicken produced by castrating a mae bird.
The two others thought it was a turkey. I didn't enlighten them.

I wish I liked liver, but I've given it a good few chances, and nope!

It looks so lovely with creamy mash and lovely greens.

Iceskater Tue 10-Nov-20 23:04:08

Can’t eat liver, even tho’ it smells delicious when it’s frying. Tried tripe once....... once was enough!

MissAdventure Tue 10-Nov-20 22:54:37

I used to get in terrible trouble if mum made rabbit stew.
I just couldn't bring myself to put the spoon to my mouth.

Callistemon Tue 10-Nov-20 22:50:24

Laverbread
Crocodile
Cockles
I tried them all but never again

And rabbit - I couldn't swallow it.

MissAdventure Tue 10-Nov-20 22:39:38

We used to have a butchers like that here, and my nan went in to buy a pig's head, for her dog (I hope!)
The butcher would ask "Eyes in or out"?

One day he took one out and threw it at me! I'm still traumatised. sad

eazybee Tue 10-Nov-20 22:34:35

I can't eat rabbit ever since I saw dead rabbits hanging up in the market when I was a very small child.

GagaJo Tue 10-Nov-20 21:11:22

In China I wouldn't try duck blood or preserved egg, although I did try jellyfish and stinky tofu. I actually like stinky tofu. It's a bit like blue cheese.
