Husband has lunch about 12ish, this is usually soup or a sandwich. I have lunch about 1, usually crackers andcheese or a toasted sandwich.
Dinner (main cooked meal) is about 5.15 and eaten watching Pointless. My choice would be to eat later but he just moans he's hungry.

Dinner around 7:30 to 8 - the husband would like to eat around 6pm but that’s too early for me - I’d just snack until bed. At the weekends we have tea around 6pm - tends to be a lighter meal, cheese or egg on toast or similar, dinner at weekends is at 1:30 (lunchtime) Once a week we have dinner earlier as that’s games night and we like to be finished and cleared up by 7:30 before signing in.

Dinner at 7.30 is our main meal.of the day as DH is usually either out working or busy at home on the farm during the day so we just have a snack at 1.30 or thereabouts.

We used to have dinner at 7.30 but my stomach was no longer coping with volume in the evening. We now have a cooked lunch at 1pm and the evening meal is soup or a sandwich at 7.30.

We eat at 5;30pm because we have been eating within an eight hour window for two years now. We do not snack afterwards, and don’t have our breakfast until 9;30. Works for us! He has lost five stone, and I have lost 3 stone.

Over the last few months I've changed my eating habits. I have 'brunch' very late morning or early afternoon and this is my main meal - what I would previously have called lunch or dinner.
Late afternoon or very early evening I eat what I would previously have called breakfast. Weird I know, but I think it's helped to keep my weight down, plus, I get the main washing-up out of the way before the good stuff is on the telly - which is my main source of entertainment these days.

Dinner 7 pm weekdays 7.30 weekends.

We try to keep weekends special, have a bottle of wine and cook something more exciting. It helps in keeping this lockdown a bit more interesting. ???

In normal times when I was working in the office it would be when it was ready after getting in just before 6. Having worked from home for nearly a year, it is earlier as I normally start getting it ready once I have logged off - that's anytime from 4.30

Joesoap Thu 04-Mar-21 12:48:23

Evening meal around 5pm I would rather eat later say around 6 on but Husband has to stick to HIS routine.

7 to half past, DH won't eat any earlier. Personally I'd prefer to eat my main meal at lunchtime and just have a light meal in the evening.

nipsmum Thu 04-Mar-21 13:51:17

Between 5 and 6 pm. As I live alone I don't call it anything. It would be tea if I was making conversation.

I always try to eat before 6:30 ish to avoid awful heart burn when I go to bed . I’m also one of those who do the 18/6 fasting diet . Just maintaining my weight now as it really does work.

Juneandarchie1 Thu 04-Mar-21 14:58:53

Breakfast at 8am. Lunch 12.30. Dinner at 6pm. All that can alter if I’m busy gardening or have a project on, in which case, I generally skip lunch.

frenchie Thu 04-Mar-21 15:11:42

Since living in France we have our main meal lunchtime between 12.30 and 1pm. A bit later on Sundays as we get up later!
I usually have a yogurt around 8pm and I make a sandwich for DH. It works very well and we do sleep better.

Anrol Thu 04-Mar-21 15:40:49

Breakfast around 7am. Banana for lunch at 1pm and dinner is very welcome at 5.30pm.

HillyN Thu 04-Mar-21 16:35:50

Last meal of the day is about 7-7.30pm and is our main meal of the day. We call it 'tea'.

HannahLoisLuke Thu 04-Mar-21 17:10:54

Dinner around 7.30 before my evening tv programmes begin.

I eat when I'm hungry now. As I'm retired, there's no 'timetable' here.

Sometimes I'll have a big meal in the middle of the day and a snack later on. If the weather's good, I tend to have a snack lunch and a meal later. Some days, I'll just have a series of smaller meals.

Thank Heavens, there's no more cries of 'What time's dinner?'
