National Biscuit Day is 29 May, apparently. What's your favourite biscuit?

My long-time fave is what my uni friend and I call Dog Biscuits", which are a home-made oaty, crunchy biscuit.

Currently though, my fave is my own home-made digestive bscuits with added chololate chips ?

You?

Shortbread. Must make some for 29th May.

Kitkats always loved them.

Another vote for Borders Dark Choc Gingers...

Smileless2012 Fri 14-May-21 18:09:47

Plain chocolate digestives.

Another vote for Borders Dark Chocolate Gingers. Our local supermarket was kind/unkind enough to put them on offer at a pound a packet so I just had to stock up. I do like chocolate hobnobs too.

NotAGran55 Fri 14-May-21 18:30:28

Hobnobs without a doubt.

I like Bahlsen Choco Leibniz milk chocolate biscuits. There's only about 9 in the packet, but they're scrummy!

Cafe Noir for me every time. Pretty much unobtainable in store nowadays but available online at silly prices therefore I manage to abstain.

Granny, me too. Have you tried the mint ones?

Favourite? Shortbread, but after that Border dark chocolate gingers (Morrison’s are good too), and home made Anzac biscuits.

My favourites are what we now call boring biscuits. Rich Tea or maybe a Digestive, if I'm feeling adventurous.

Not as keen on fancy stuff, as I was when I was younger.

Why Blossoming? Have I missed something?
(Wouldn't want to miss a shortbread opportunity)

My vote goes to M&S Sultana Cookies.
But I also love many kinds in the Border selection box.

I limit us to one biscuit each at morning coffee or afternoon tea as we are biscuitaholics. At the moment its Hobnobs or ginger nuts

I love those sticky, flaky lemon puffs. I want one now.

nanna8 Mon 17-May-21 07:04:38

Oh you have some lovely bikkies there! We have timtams which are a bit like the old penguins. Lots of different flavours.

Hetty58 Mon 17-May-21 07:12:21

I really love any home made ones, although it's ginger flapjacks mainly right now.

I simply don't have the willpower to ration them so I happily eat the whole lot. Why not - that's what they're for? I make smaller batches these days though, to avoid indigestion.

fevertree Mon 17-May-21 08:08:25

The Hovis digestives shaped like a loaf of bread.

OR, any homemade ones.

Urmstongran Mon 17-May-21 08:21:29

Used to love a lemon puff. Not even sure they’re still about.

MiniMoon Mon 17-May-21 09:57:12

Large, round custard creams baked by a small firm in Castle Douglas. Absolutely yummy.

I used to have to bring back Penguins from the UK for my boys when they were younger and still living at home. When did they stop making them?

JackyB Tue 18-May-21 09:44:08

I enjoy making biscuits and try and keep the jar full.

henetha Tue 18-May-21 09:50:05

I don't eat biscuits but keep digestives handy for visitors....grin

nanna8 Tue 18-May-21 10:10:10

Anzac biscuits are nice - basically rolled Oates, butter, golden syrup, flour, sugar etc.

Witzend Thu 10-Jun-21 18:22:58

I so rarely buy biscuits, on account of lacking self control when it comes to eating them. But this morning, after a session at the dentist, I nipped into a nearby shop since I needed spaghetti for tonight. But they had Garibaldis!! My favourite! I bought a packet and scoffed the lot once I got home. ??

Puzzler61 Thu 10-Jun-21 18:25:12

Crunch ginger biscuits half coated in chocolate.
