Today we travelled back home from a U.K. holiday so stopped at a small market town en route. We tried five places before we found something suitable to eat. The posh hotel was only doing main meals, the next was doing main meals and coffee and cake, another only did pizzas, another was fully booked, and our favourite wasn’t doing food at all. Finally I found a new Good Earth place, who had room and made us a ham roll with salad garnish, and a complimentary sweet pastry confection to taste. We drank sparkling apple / elderflower juice.£8 in total, which was the cheapest lunch of the week.
It's official: Grandparents are good for children
everyone else around us was munching away on them too, and well I haven't eaten just chips for a very, very long time, that's my excuse! We were facing a beautiful expanse of sand at lovely Llansteffan beach, which somehow enhanced their flavour. They were just right for the occasion
the vinaigrette is LOVELY but we seem to be able to get it cheaper here as it is quite local
