I’m really sorry about your dog. It can be a major bereavement, and I think you should forgive yourself for making an impulse buy!

I bought one of these in a sale on Amazon, to replace my pressure cooker, on the advice of a very sensible friend who used hers a lot. I promptly lost the instructions, and I can’t get on with it at all. I tried pressure cooking meat for a stew, and it burnt. It sits in my kitchen, reproaching me.

To be fair to myself, I’ve had a lot of health issues in the last year, and I have constant brain fog. I’ve made a resolution not to make any more impulse buys!

Sorry for the loss of your dog Sago. Your new pot will keep you entertained for a while it sounds.
My DH did a similar thing with a bread maker, popping out for different flours to try, kept him going for weeks until he decided he needed a different brand. Twenty years on he still makes our bread.
My DD told me to get what you have bought but I have held back since I bought a steam cleaner that cleaned my shoes better than it cleaned my floor. I am hopeless at the mission controls.

I've got a halogen pot cooker which is wonderful and I use it a lot. Anything you can cook in the oven you can cook in this halogen pot.

Gosh that looks complicated! Enjoy getting your head around it and using it.

I have an air fryer which I love and I get many recipes from Pinterest. If you want I can be a bit more specific.

As a keen cook I will start experimenting and let you all know.
Unfortunately we are away this weekend and next weekend but I have already started researching recipes.

I hope the new gadget cheers you up. I have an air fryer, a yoghurt maker, soup maker, a slow cooker & a GF grill. If I could combine them all into one gadget I’d save an awful lot of kitchen space

I have two of these appliances. I love them!

My new toaster is quite complicated, it's got different settings for bread, crumpets, fruit bread, bagels etc.
I can cope with that once I put my specs on.

Oh you've not got a toaster, then, I take it? 》-》 runs away....

Just took a look. Interesting, but I'm a bit concerned about buying gadgets that are cleverer than me.

that's what i thought too.
i used to like unilever's pot rice, but they stopped making it.
