I'm not that interested in food. I just see it as fuel. Could be salad with coleslaw and jacket potato. Something that doesn't make much washing up.

Greyduster

Home made chicken curry from the freezer, with rice and poppadums.

Thanks for reminding me, yes, poppodums too!

Fleurpepper Sat 10-Sept-22 12:19:12

Chicken curry with lots of vegetables, peppers, peas, chickpeas, onions and garlic (nowadays I use meat or chicken with as much or more, vegetables) and white rice and lemon pickle.

Lasagne
Trifle from the freezer
Apple cake made from windfalls

Wouldn't normally have 2 desserts but a friend dropping in and trifle won't stretch to 3.

We went out for lunch, an enormous Ploughman’s , or should I say ploughperson ?
Anyway just had a very small bowl of porridge with a sliced nectarine. DH wants nothing.

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 08-Sept-22 16:58:27

Chicken Kievs from the butcher, new-ish potatoes, asparagus (apologies for air miles) and peppercorn sauce. No dessert during the week.

Georgesgran Thu 08-Sept-22 16:36:37

I’m feeling very lazy - fancy a bowl of porridge with cream, then a couple of Tunnocks (other brands are available, apparently) Caramel Wafers and a pot of tea later.
This may change after I’ve had DD2’s dogs out.

snowberryZ Thu 08-Sept-22 14:53:40

Oh forgot, there was some green on the plate. Steamed brocolliwink

snowberryZ Thu 08-Sept-22 14:52:27

Baked battered haddock with mildly curried cabbage and onions, some leftover dal and carrots, and a sauce I made with cream, blue cheese and fresh chives.

I made Jamie Oliver’s tomato fritters this evening. Had them with Greek salad and the salsa from the same recipe.
