Doggy bags - yes or no?

Not the ones used by dog walkers - the ones for restaurant left overs! I found a previous discussion (with many hilarious comments) but it was over 5 years old.
Has the current economic climate made anyone change their view of requesting a doggy bag in a restaurant at the end of your meal, when there is a reasonable amount of good food, freshly prepared, that you have paid quite highly for?
I am not talking about a few chips from a fast food place (and I should add - your OWN plate not someone else's!

"to the back", of course, not "tongue"

A lot of places here won’t let you have doggy bags because people do not store the food correctly. They get sick and then they blame the restaurant. Particularly in our hotter weather.

I think it depends what the food is. I have a friend who always has a doggie bag for half of the left over pizza. The box comes with storage and reheating instructions.

My sister, a vegetarian, doesn’t always fancy the vegetarian option in a roast dinner in a restaurant. She orders the turkey option and the meat goes home for a treat for her cat.

If there’s more than a very little left, yes.
In Asian restaurants we’ve been known to order too much to share between a few. The leftovers are usually put into foil dishes with lids.
Certainly beats wasting it!
