I've just cooked cheesy-breadcrumbed Basa, with sweet potatoes and oven-roasted Mediterranean vegetables. (It's a Gousto recipe I had ages ago) Gorgeous.
Allotment veg soup blended, a sprinkle of Italian hard cheese and a few torn up basil leaves, a boiled beetroot cooled and diced with a bit of salad cream. Plus two Aldi cream crackers. DH had a ham sandwich with cherry tomatoes and plain crisps.
Fresh pasta with spinach and ricotta filling, ground black pepper, hint of pesto, home made tomato sauce, grated cheese and fresh basil. My happy meal!
We had to go out this afternoon, meanwhile my son has taken over the kitchen, he's staying for the weekend with our grandchildren. It all smells good, right now he's cooking roast chicken, infused with garlic, roast potatoes, honey glazed roast carrots, broccoli. I've been issued with a "keep out mum, I know what I'm doing, I'm an excellent cook" Well move over Jamie Oliver
