The mention of sausages on another thread reminded me why we don’t eat sausages now. Just can’t get on with the skins they use - seaweed based. They don’t cook they burn before the sausage is cooked and are so tough.

There is a shop in Penrith which sells lovely ones with natural casings and all visitors are made to stop there and buy me loads, they don’t deliver this far north.

Is it just me or have others stop buying them in the supermarket? (No butchers here ).

Cook my sausages in the air fryer. Less mess and spatter.

We usually eat chicken sausages, less fat, but when we bbq it’s hog sausages from our local butcher, very delicious, with a slight game taste.

Tesco finest pork chipolata sausages are very tasty, cooked for approximately 15 minutes in the air fryer.

Lidl now do a Toulouse sausage - not quite as course as you’d get in Toulouse, but really nice in itself. I love sausages of all sorts. A friend makes game sausages, very good in a casserole.

Bit of a Philistine here. Run of the mill prepacked beef chipolatas hit my spot every time. Straight from the frying pan into me!
