Homemade sweet potato and feta burgers; Baked Ratatouille; Mashed Potato

Went out to dinner today as it is my birthday. Just a small pub near us, but the food and service was top class. I had scampi and chips. Something I haven’t had in years. Wonderful.

We had a Christmas dinner minus the pudding.
Roast turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage and mash. DS came to help eat it.
It's my birthday, so we've had a sort of party.

I made a rich beef casserole in the slow cooker I’m going to top it with pastry and serve it with fresh veg. My DS and family are here for tea today something to look forward too.

We're having the same (without the pastry) but now I'm worrying that it won't be cooked in time, I was late getting it on and they need dinner earlier than I thought 🤞

Today

Sausage and aubergine lasagne, followed by rice pudding.

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, stuffing balls, yorkshires, peas, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli.

Followed by a shop bought dessert called Millionaires Cheesecake. Very rich.

Roadt chicken here, too, with cauliflower cheese, sprouts with lardons, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and gravy.

Roast chicken, rosemary and garlic potatoes, roast carrots and cabbage. Rather late due to confusion over who is supposed to be cooking and I'm hungry!

Today we had gone shopping for a few gifts and had lunch out.

I grilled a yellow fin sole with sweet potato fries and peas.

Went to a little Italian restaurant tonight, we shared olives , bread and pecorino cheese. I had salmon pasta and OH a pizza diavolo.
It was a treat not to cook.

Caprese salad (Mozzarella; sliced beef tomato; lemon olive oil; balsamic glaze; chopped basil). With a Merchant Gourmet microwave pack Peruvian Grains! Very tasty

A Chinese chicken thing that is currently marinating in lots of lovely things ready to be roasted and served with brown rice.
