by the way, the dog food has nothing to do with the dinner! it is just cheaper at the farm shop

I took delivery of some Lucky Boat noodles today and made a splendid chicken chow mein. They are excellent.

Intended to make fish pie but ….......had a bad night with very little sleep and not been 100% today .We settled for lovely free range eggs , fried on toast , yogurt and raspberries. Fish will wait till tomorrow!

Quick tea tonight …. Skin on chips, melton mowbray pork pie, polish beetroot with onions (in a jar from Lidl) and really tasty.

Chicken legs in the oven, loads of garlic and a splosh of white wine, new potato’s and broccoli, vampires beware!

Roasted root vegetables with a dollop of home made pesto and some crumbled feta.

Sausages, mash and red cabbage with apple.

I made a chicken casserole when my Gd was here so I had the remains bulked out with some chickpeas and spinach and served with a mixture of bulgur wheat and brown rice.

I made a very large pan of barley beetroot and kale risotto yesterday to go with fish. We are having the rest of it today topped with some feta and served with Cumberland sausage.

Ocado coming this morning and know there is a pack of stir fry veg in there so better do those as they seem to go off quickly not sure what to put with them could be salmon, prawns or chicken.

I don't know yet. Our local pub has a new pensioner's special menu, so we are going there.
Last night I made some rather delicious celery soup, pity there's none left for tonight's supper.

Simple chicken thighs with chorizo and anything looking a bit tired in the veg drawer, toms. and cannellii beans . Will make soda bread late afternoon to soak up juices.

Two small lamb chops for me tonight, with roasted potatoes and carrots, spinach, gravy and mint sauce. Blackberry and apple crumble with Greek yoghurt to follow.

MG microwaveable Persian Grains; fried onion and pepper, stirring in tomato paste smoked paprika and persian grains. Frying halloumi cubes to sprinkle on top. Stir in a spoonful of creme fraiche to the grains mix. It is delicious if you like that sort of thing.

On Holiday in the sun so eating out tonight, Italian.
Currently on balcony p overlooking the sea in a strappy dress. How lucky am I?
