I hope I am committing a sin by starting a new thread but the other one is full and I enjoy it and the photos smile

I popped to the cheap farm shop on the way home from work to buy dog food and vegetables so I have made a sausage casserole with jacket potatoes. I normally put the potatoes in the casserole (I know wink ) but there was no room as I bought a rather nice leek grin it smells delicious smile

Tried to reproduce a lovely meal we had at a vegetarian restaurant in Machynlleth. Halloumi chips with a salad containing, grapes, cranberries, nuts, pomegranate seeds, green lentils, bulgar wheat, browned courgette, lettuce, tomato, broccoli. Might be others!
Nearly got it right.

I’ve got a cooked chicken breast to use up, so a substantial Mulligatawny, with lots of rice and veggies.
And since I’ve also got bananas to use up, that’ll be followed by bananas flambés, with the lethal sugar/butter/orange and lemon juice/Cointreau syrup. 😛
Only I don’t bother with the flaming bit.

I was about to prep lots of veg and then air fry some chicken pieces, when my son-in-law texted to say he was bringing me some meals. So today it was a cottage pie made with turkey mince, reheated in the microwave, plus sprouting broccoli which I cooked, and a lamb casserole in the freezer for another day.
That was lunchtime. A cheese sandwich and some grapes this evening.

Oh sorry, you were referring to my reference to an Italian omelette.

This 'italian omelette' is a family name and so called because it has Italian herbs and parmesan in the egg mix. It has onion, bacon (or pancetta) and sliced mushrooms cooked together, mixed with a little cream or creme fraiche and then put into the omelette in the usual way. Served with salad or sweet potato fries depending on the weather and my mood.

Sorry for the confusion.

Kitty Lester,

A fritatta is an Italian Omelette.

I know what a fritatta is - don't think it was me who asked.
