I hope I am committing a sin by starting a new thread but the other one is full and I enjoy it and the photos smile

I popped to the cheap farm shop on the way home from work to buy dog food and vegetables so I have made a sausage casserole with jacket potatoes. I normally put the potatoes in the casserole (I know wink ) but there was no room as I bought a rather nice leek grin it smells delicious smile

Home made wedges & spicy bean burgers. Still on the freezer clearout! And probably a glass of wine or two because this moving house business - or lack of it - is s0dding stressful!

This evening we are going to prepare a pizza ! Not from scratch this evening.

Just a frozen Casa Mía "Doctored" 4 cheese Pizza ..

It is a German brand, Dr. Oekutner ( I probably spelt this incorrectly).

And a glass of wine that we have left over from our last 2 lunches.

Oven fish and chips with mushy peas.

SeaWoozle Mon 26-Feb-24 18:02:49

Sainsbury's veggie lasagne. Delish!

A cross between Cullen Skink and chowder, with smoked haddock and white fish, onion, streaky bacon, potatoes, sweetcorn and parsley.
Followed by the 2nd half of yesterday’s Eve’s Pudding, with custard.

Chilli in the slow cooker, with Mexican rice and tortilla chips and guacamole and salsa dips.

SeaWoozle Fri 23-Feb-24 15:55:58

Trying to eat everything out of the freezer before we move! Pizza last night and I think scampi, chips and peas tonight. We foolishly bought a huge bag of frozen peas about 2 weeks ago and now realise they need to be eaten in the next week! Peas with everything 😆

Greek salad, home made sweet potato wedges (in Air fryer), humous. Apple and blackberry crumble from the freezer with crème fraiche.

Witzend Thu 22-Feb-24 18:45:54

A lamb stew, made from the remains of a roast (as much fat as possible cut off) with potatoes, pearl barley, turnip, carrots and peas.
A cold weather favourite here.

Thursday - the 22nd of February 2024 ...

Since we had a traditional lunch of polenta with mushrooms, we are having a light quick simple dinner.

A mini Spanish Omelette for my dear and I am just going to have goat cheese Ricotta with fresh apple slices and Clementine slices.

Nice evening wishes.

A stir fry, with prawns (Asda’s mini Smartprice ones, defrost in no time) plus plenty of assorted veg and noodles.

Potato, lentil, banana curry. Turmeric lemon rice. Tomato, Cherry Chutney. Cabbage Salad. Browned Naan. Fruit.

Ziplok Tue 20-Feb-24 20:55:50

Plaice, roasted new potatoes, tomatoes & spinach. (The recipe came from BBC Good Food). As it’s not asparagus season, I used spinach instead, which I cooked separately. I’m not a lover of asparagus, so probably wouldn’t have used it anyway. All the other ingredients went in the one pan, in the oven, starting with the potatoes first for 30 min to get them cooked through, then added the fish and tomatoes for 15 or so minutes (until the fish was cooked). A tasty recipe which I would use again.

HowVeryDareYou2 Tue 20-Feb-24 17:51:47

Fishcake, chips, mixed veg

MiniMoon Mon 19-Feb-24 22:29:07

We ate chicken, leftover from yesterday's roast with salad, coleslaw and beetroot.
I'm still being careful with my fat intake since my recent gallbladder flare up.

HowVeryDareYou2 Mon 19-Feb-24 17:57:54

Spaghetti Bolognese, garlic bread

Witzend Mon 19-Feb-24 17:42:47

A small half shoulder of lamb, which will be very well done, to get much of the fat off - with lots of roast potatoes, carrots, Savoy cabbage that needs using up, proper gravy and mint sauce. 😋
We should have had it yesterday, but there was an impromptu visit from a dd and 3 Gdcs and it wouldn’t really have been enough, not to mention not quite the Gdcs’ favourite, so I rustled up alternatives.
