Ginger wine, how do you take yours?

Whisky Mac, ginger wine and whisky. I am, generally a non-spirits drinker, but once or twice a year. I quite fancy a Whisky Mac.

I could do with one right now. I am down with the very heavy cold, described online as 'brutal', and a whisky mac might cut through the fog of cold, cough, blocked sinuses and no voice that engulfs me.

In the 1960s my Granny used to put a small amount in a glass and topped up with lemonade, ice and lemon slices

Whisky? I have poached pears in ginger wine, absolutely delicious. You could also make a warm punch with cinnamon, cloves, five spice etc, make it stronger by adding a spirit or tone it down with orange or apple juice.

I do enjoy warm ginger wine but feel I may be missing something. What else could I put with it or what could I add it to?
