How to use left over cooked duck

We are having roast duck for lunch - our New Year Tradition.

The duck is large enough for 4 but there will now only be 2 of us.

Any suggestions for using the leftovers?

We’ve got half a duck left too, I’ll either shred it and use it with fresh pasta, or make a ‘cottage pie’ there are recipe suggestions for both online.

We’re having duck. There will be half left over. I will slice it up and make a stir fry, with vegetables and rice.
Enjoy it, whatever you decide!

have it with Chinese pancakes, spring onions, cucumber and hoisin sauce?

or in a black bean sauce with rice?

I just seem to think anything Chinese! These sauces are good

The black bean paste is just like you get in a Chinese restaurant

Sandwiches. There's a fell in Lancashire that my family (when I was a kid) named Duck Dinner Hill because we ate duck sandwiches there one day.

Duck lends itself very well to Asian/Chinese inspired dishes as others have suggested.

If I cook duck there is never a fragment left due to the meat eaters in my house .

I was about to suggest yummy Pekin Duck but JaneJudge has beaten me to it .
It's a really delicious dish .

The other half of our duck was eaten last night, as suggested.

How about repurposing the leftover roast duck in a delicious stir-fry? Shred the meat, toss it with some veggies, soy sauce, and ginger, and serve it over rice or noodles. It's a quick and tasty way to enjoy the leftovers!

Reading this, I've just realised that I have never cooked a duck in my life. Is it nice? Should I try it?

Henetha, yes! Though they are rather large - hence my query.

I'll probably wait until the next family meal. Thanks kitty Lester.

It’s gorgeous with stir fry or maybe some hoisin sauce and wraps? Enjoy! You are making my mouth water.

It also makes a nice curry.

I’d try and source a wild duck if possible. Much smaller than the farmed variety and capable of true flight. It’s also lived a natural life with a varied diet.
Like game the meat is quite strongly flavoured, low in fat and cholesterol, however, it looks darker than farmed meat, as the flight muscles have been worked, making the breast meat darker.

Give it to the dog (minus bones of course)
