I admit I don't generally use "chain" restaurants but had a really lovely meal in The Black Swan in Henley so was pleased to see there was a new one in this Heartwood Inns chain and went last night... what a disappointment. Perfectly fine but not nearly as good. If you are cooking the same menu, is it just the Chef? I'd assumed much if not all of it was cooked in the pub/restaurant so can't see what else it can be really. Is it that they ^aren't cooked in the pub and they are getting deliveries of batch-cooked foods from different suppliers?
