Has anyone tried this?
I am curious after reading about someone, who got 72 onions in his bag!

If you type it in like that you might get some communion wine grin

Can you be
“TOO God?”

Mizuna Sun 23-Jun-24 16:30:24

Yes I use it Marydoll. In my area (Cornwall) I very often end up with a bag of pasties, sausage rolls and cakes or artisan bread. I freeze what I can. It's always very God value. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I assumed it was a religious app!

Excellent results from bakeries, we once got veg and nothing else from Morrisons, bit mixed, I look out for the reviews

Oh dear! Swollen, arthritic hands means I often miss keys.
I should have known the pedants would be quick to jump in and point out my errors. Certainly not good nor Godly behaviour. 😉
Oh to be so perfect. 😇

I won't bother asking HQ to amend the title.
I will let you have your fun. 😉

No pedantry (which I can’t abide!) - just meant to be a joke, knowing that you are a churchgoer smile

Yes, I used to use it a fair bit.

I found it pretty good, with all usable items.

LOUISA1523 Sun 23-Jun-24 17:38:37

Have used it before ...think Greggs was the last time .....got loads and loads of pastries and cakes 😋....shared them out with family....picked them up on way home from work

MissAdventure Sun 23-Jun-24 17:40:23

The Olio app is good, too.

Funnily enough I watched a YouTube video yesterday where somebody I follow (she is very amusing) had done a big Too Good to Go haul, to compare what she could get from a lot of different outlets, if you’ve got an idle half an hour here it is.

I sign up paid my £4 went down to the shop to collect it after 7 pm and they said we haven’t got anything you’ll get your money back so haven’t bothered since

There is also the little flicker of excitement to factor in - like being bought a Jamboree bag, as a child. smile

Oh yes I remember those!

MissAdventure Sun 23-Jun-24 18:45:59

I never liked the sweets very much, as I recall.
They must have had a toy, too. smile

I tried it once had an Aldi bag. But it contained things I didn't eat so gave the things away. The bag cost £3.30.

MissAdventure Sun 23-Jun-24 18:55:58

I don't really get out now, so it would be false economy for me.
The app includes restaurants too.

I am enjoying goodies from my latest TGTG Surprise bag as I write this. My local baker (part of a Hertfordshire chain) does these bags every day, I tend to get one once a fortnight. Occasionally they run out and don’t have enough food left over, but that doesn’t happen very often. I love walking home with the anticipation of what might be in the bag. Todays one contained a large white loaf, 2 bread rolls, 4 doughnuts, a large pot of fresh fruit salad, an iced bun and a cup cake, all for £4 - a bargain.

Desdemona Sun 23-Jun-24 20:07:51

I give them out in the supermarket where I work.

They generally contain fruit, veg and a selection of bread/cake. Todays looked very good - a nice range of fruit and some nice looking doughnuts and cakes.

Other times maybe not so good - all depends what is going out of date on any particular day.

Thank you to those, who responded.

I was curious about it after reading a news item on my phone.
