Found the pan in a local supermarket chocolatelovinggran - extra large family size, 40 x 28 cm!
It’s still in the oven at the mo, it’s an hour later here, kids still scoffing pizza, adult dinner soon.

Well done you! Where did you find a dish large enough ( in my mind I can see a storybook giant with an enormous crumble being put into a huge oven....)

Oh, I could just eat some of that for you

I need to make one (from a packet mix blush)

Well done, a really monster apple crumble for so many.👏🏻
I couldn’t imagine even starting it and would be found whimpering in a corner.
Enjoy!

I envy people who can cook for crowds - I can handle family numbers up to about 10 but even then I normally overcook because I'm always scared there won't be enough 🥹

I'm okay on sausages where I can allocate 3 sausages per person 😆

Gdd1 requested her favourite apple crumble yesterday- only there will be 18 of us - 13 extended family plus host family of 5 - friends of dd - in a gite in the Dordogne*.

So I bought the wherewithal yesterday, inc. a mountain of apples and a vast pan - 1 kg flour and 500 g butter to rub in for the topping - how I miss my trusty old Kenwood Chef!! But it’s now ready for the oven.

*thank goodness it’s nothing like as hot as it was last year!
