I have one of the microwave fish poachers (liquid in the bottom, fish on the aerated tray, lid). I can't tell you how many years I've used them. I've never had a failure - perfect every time. 3 - 3.5 minutes for thicker fish and slightly less for thin fillets.

My Mum bought me my first one as she loved it, I've since bought one for my daughter, a niece and a cousin. We all love it.

Thank you all. I shall experiment.

I regularly microwave salmon in a Tupperware type container in the microwave. It poaches it beautifully as long as long as the timing is right. (experiment) I buy it cut ready in sections.

I put enough water in the container so's the skin doesnt stick to the base. Like granfromafar add a sauce if you like.

I think they used a dry martini to cook it in

I worked in a restaurant once where they microwaved Lemon sole before dressing in a creamy sauce.
It was delicious.

I find it's very easy to overcook fish when microwaving, so 1 to 3 mins is often enough, depending on thickness of the fish. You can cover with baking parchment or grease proof paper, or just a plate. Don't really have any recipes, but I often cook the fish in the microwave and serve with a homemade (or shop-bought) sauce.

I used to microwave fish in grease proof paper bags. Now I airfry it, but those Lakeland ones look good.

I microwave uncoated fish eg cod, salmon, in a Pyrex dish with a lid.

Any hints and tips please. I was looking at the Lakeland microwave fish cooking bags. And also the lidded container which had poor reviews. I have dishes I could use but my microwave lids are too small and round and I no longer use cling film. Any recipes would be welcome as wwll. Thank you.
