Confession time - I googled it 😁

How about FriedGreenTomatoes2

I have passed the SOAP recipe round the family and everyone loves it. I used to teach food technology and students would always be asked to suggest modifications so ours are:

Shoulder pork steaks, belly pork or sausages.
Chicken stock instead of water.
Celeriac mash or colcannon.

Perfect comfort food on winter evenings.

Is this like an alcohol free pork in cider? Never heard of it before.

Next time, annsixty is coming back as UsetobeUseto beblonde smile

M0nica Sun 06-Oct-24 13:57:40

Usedtobeblonde

If you had been on GN a few years back I expect you would have been aware of SOAP.
Also the name that FGT went by then.

I have been on GN since a few weeks after it began and have never come across SOAP. I still do not see what is so special about it. I am sure there are lots of recipes lists of ingredients can be treated as anagrams and produce words.

Not that I am going to try, better things to do.

Aveline Sun 06-Oct-24 13:51:21

You are annsixty? Usedtobeblonde?! My mind is blown!

GrannyIvy Sun 06-Oct-24 13:48:25

I’m going to try it, do I need to put a stock cube in?

BlueBelle Sun 06-Oct-24 13:16:37

I ve been on GN 11/12 years and no idea what SOAP meant but as I don’t eat meat I wouldn’t know would I . and as for user names never know who is who anyway…. just read the post not who posts it
Who is FriedGreenTomatoes 1 then ?🤣

kittylester Sun 06-Oct-24 12:58:34

Fingers crossed that we don't have another flurry of forced name changes. I am easily confused.

Usedtobeblonde Sun 06-Oct-24 12:56:03

Now Aveline I am quite hurt and upset that you didn’t wonder who I was in a previous life🙁🥲
But you maybe know I was annsixty so maybe I will let you off JUST this once.

Aveline Sun 06-Oct-24 12:45:03

Gosh thanks. I'd wondered who Urmstongran had come back as. Glad to see you. Now where's Callistemon?

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 06-Oct-24 12:14:49

Cabbie not in crowd at all.
I used to be Urmstongran if that helps?

kittylester Sun 06-Oct-24 11:49:54

Cabbie, as a long standing poster, I'm fairly sure you were around when Fgt2 posted the recipe - possibly on the GM thread or in the kitchen - which would be appropriate!!

Not really in crowd.

Witzend Sun 06-Oct-24 11:16:52

That sounds delish! I’ve saved it to photos, for printing off later.
Thanks for posting! 😋

Cabbie21 Sun 06-Oct-24 11:15:52

In crowd?

Jaxjacky Sun 06-Oct-24 11:07:43

No excuses kitty, nope, can’t even think of a weeny one, just being daft!

kittylester Sun 06-Oct-24 11:02:43

Just discovered that I did say famous. It was that jax that confused me! grin

Beechnut Sun 06-Oct-24 10:47:15

It smells comforting when cooking. 😃

Granmarderby10 Sun 06-Oct-24 10:45:50

Granmarderby10 Sun 06-Oct-24 10:43:53

Sudding Hell! May give this try😀

Jaxjacky Sun 06-Oct-24 10:34:45

I put infamous incorrectly, sorry 🙄

Aveline Sun 06-Oct-24 10:34:02

Looks delicious. Tastier than regular soap anyway but not such a good cleaner.

I understand the DHs, DSs, DDs etc but FGT2 was a cryptic acronym too far 😂
As was SOAP
