slice it in to portions and freeze. Then when you take it out of the freezer you make any of th edishes everyone else is suggesting

Don't you need eye-holes, ear-holes and arse-holes to make rissoles or am I doing it wrong?

Any gravy left? I’d make a pie or a few individual ones and freeze them 😋

Shepherd's pie, eat a portion and freeze the rest.

Cottage pie as it's beef. Shepherd's pie is lamb. But either way, I think both are best made with leftover meat, so that's what I'd do!

Rissoles. Cooled mashed potato, shred the beef and finely slice a large onion. Mix all together, season well and form into patties, coat thinly with seasoned flour and fry until golden on both sides.

Salti

Make potted meat, for sandwiches.

Chop the meat up and simmer it with some herbs and gravy. Tip into a food processor with about half the amount of melted butter and some nutmeg. Zap.

Use on sandwiches or freeze in small portions.

that sounds delicious

Cut it into chunks and put it in a stew.

Personally, I'd think it was perfectly cooked - can't abide meat that's not cooked right through!

Curry. It’s my answer to everything 😬

Then freeze the cottage pies ?

Calendargirl Thu 26-Dec-24 11:39:55

Couldn’t you mince it and make cottage pies?

Some Stilton over the mashed potatoes would be tasty?

mumski Thu 26-Dec-24 11:37:54

I over cooked the beef yesterday. I usually have it medium rare. I've got a good sized piece left.
Has anyone got any ideas how I can use it up?
I've got Stilton in the fridge and all the usual staples to use.
I hate to waste it , but would struggle to eat as it is.
Many thanks for any suggestions.
