Tubs of chocolates

My DGD loves the orange creams from the Roses tub. Whenever he is doing the school run, my husband sneaks them, along with some other flavours for her , into her pockets.
He is the most popular papa in the playground.
Consequently, I have to have an bottomless tub.

I have a large box of fudge, Finlandia jellies, rose and violet creams and Ferraro chocolate - the mixed box of chocolates has gone… OH doesn’t have a sweet tooth.

I love them. I have sweetie dish on my coffee table, filled from tubs. My adult children get annoyed when it is empty!

My mum used to do that and always give me a handful to "keep you going on the drive home ..." I lived 3 miles away!!

We love them. In fact we got through two tubs before Christmas and I had to buy more! We will regret it in the new year when we have to go on diets!

Exactly MissA I would if I could but I can’t so I won’t

My DH worked on a farm when the children were small.

His boss always gave his men a turkey for Christmas, plus a tin of Quality Street for the children.

This was nearly 50 years ago, when they were the proper QS tins, huge!

Such bounty! We had never had such a quantity of chocs before.

The green triangles are still my favourites.

😍

I'm going to take biscuits and sweets I don't want to eat to my social groups where they can be given out at tea breaks and enjoyed by other people.
I had a afternoon tea hamper from M&S, plus a big tin of theiŕ shortbread. I have 2 boxes of after eight mints , Newbury jelly fruits and another tin of shortbread. My stomach can't tolerate all that sugar plus I can't afford to put on any more weight!!! 😩

Ah, I'd say thank you if you did, but you don't, so I won't 🥰

My daughter is a teacher, everything gets sent to the staff room in the new year. It doesn't last long in there

We used to hand them in to a local hospital

Agree with you on both counts, MissAdventure.

Donate gifts you don't want to good causes.
Someone will be grateful for them.

MissAdventure Fri 27-Dec-24 14:54:16

Yes, they're chocolate, what's not to like?

Allira Fri 27-Dec-24 14:52:26

I have a tin of Lindors!

Not just a packet, a whole tin and I'm not giving them away

CountessFosco Fri 27-Dec-24 14:47:23

sending you our address........grin

Desdemona Fri 27-Dec-24 14:45:57

Do you like them? Do you buy them? Do you get given them as gifts that you don't want?

I am sat here sitting staring at 3 tubs of the things. My teeth can't take them anymore. Think I will give them to the foodbank but will they want anymore chocolate this time of year?

Just something else hanging about the place.
