My husband is one of those people who ignore small health problems, thinking they will go away on their own given time.
Last month he ended up in hospital with serious constipation and had to be given two enemas.
He hadn't mentioned the problem to me, we have simple remedies in the bathroom cabinet if he'd bothered to look.
He got a severe "talking to" from the doctor about how dangerous it is at his age (86) along with the need for fluids and fibre.
Our daughter came to stay for a few days and brought gifts of semi-dried prunes and apricots - he does not like prunes and apricots.
Does anyone have any recipes for using up prunes and apricots?
Could I put them in a cake, or would they be tasty in a stew?
I hate waste and have two x 500g bags of each.
(Its like having another child to look after!
