Thai takeaway. They deliver if you can’t be bothered driving down the street. Probably around once a fortnight or so.

Cooking for oneself is far different from cooking for someone else. For me, alone, it would be a small bowl of muesli with hot water poured on then blueberries and a bit of cream mixed in.

Poach salmon in oven in a little milk, butter. salt and black pepper, and a sprinkling of fresh dill and/or oregano.
Serve with either mashed potatoes or scrubbed baby potatoes and frozen peasl

Oven-baked potato, small tin of tuna mixed with a little mayonnaise, sliced beetroot and tomato and some watercress.

Shop-bought pasta (3 mins gentle boil) plus home-made tomato sauce - chopped tomatoes, 1 finely sliced onion, 2 garlic cloves, chopped, fry together gently (add fresh sage leaves or a couple of pinches of dried oregano) until soft. Mash manually or use blender to smooth, pour over cooked pasta, add a little grated cheese.

I'd love a crisp sandwich or chip butties but neither taste right on gf bread.

Real Kelloggs Cornflakes with ice cold milk. Full cream or Jersey if you have it.

Buy a rotisserie chicken from Morrisons (the extra tasty ones), heat it up in the oven and serve with thickly buttered baguette and a mixed salad.

Oh yes! Except in my case it has to be GF Bran flakes with oat milk and Greek yoghurt. Yum!

Loving this thread because I have no interest in cooking.
Tinned fruit in juice.
Tinned sweetcorn and beans.
Tinned fish.
Salads with pre washed lettuce and baby spinach.
Cheese and cottage cheese for protein.
Greek yoghurt to have with bananas.
Eggs.
Having oatcakes and ryvita in for when you run out of bread.
I really hate cooking and shopping.

Grannywannynanny - that sounds horrible! Never heard of chips (crisps) in a sandwich!

For me an easy dinner is an egg, and those hash brown patties, don't know if you have them in UK. Save the veg for another day.

The whole point of my cooking days is to fill the freezer with homemade chilli con carne, bolognese sauce, puttanesca sauce along with cooked mince and onions.

On the days when I’m too busy/lazy to cook it means I only have to heat one of the above and cook some rice, pasta or mash/veg and there’s our dinner in 10 minutes!

For brunch/lunch something on toast will suffice and soup is another freezer option for a winter warmer.

One pot chicken and veg meals, all day, every day, with some roast vegetables, rice, fried prawns, fish, mushrooms, salads, and tons of omelettes. Sandwiches, cheese as it is, nuts, fruit as it is, yogurt - this is what we eat here anyway

Love this thread. Feeling very tired at the moment and can’t be bothered to cook. My favourite is a toasted cheese sandwich with a bit of salad.

I had a 3-course lunch today in London so I’ll just have a bowl of cereal when I get home.

Yesterday we were worn out after spending the afternoon putting honey in 80 jars. It was OH’s turn to cook so he suggested eating out, which we did!

M&S salmon & broccoli quiche (heated in the airfryer) with some boiled new potatoes and a bag of salad divided between our two plates. And a glass of chilled rose ... job done.

Or for a quick breakfast or lunch I toast a slice of bread and top it with some sliced ham and a fried egg.

Fish & chips, eaten on our favourite hill that looks over our local town.
I have to say the fish has shrunk from last year, but delicious all the same 😊

A fish finger butty with cheesy chips done in the air fryer. Carb heavy but heaven when you are really hungry.

If DH is out for dinner with his pals I will have a fish finger sandwich on granary with tartare sauce and a big bowl of salad.

Anything involving cooked cheese is good for me 🧀🧀🧀

Other lazy tips. Bung a whole chicken in the slow cooker. Add salt and pepper. Chuck in any unpeeled carrots or potatoes. Cook on slow all day. Eat it over next 5 days.

Jacket potato, cook by your own method. Place on plate.

Top with yogurt, bit of Maggi Wurze, corrianer, salt, pepper.

Can do the same with portobellos.

Prawn sandwich.
DH is a season ticket holder for a football team that seems to play a lot of their matches midweek. He has a ready meal earlier in the day and I have a prawn sandwich later in the evening and I love it!

Followed with a plain unsweetened yogurt with blueberries.
