Oh, I stand corrected then. blush

Not good for safe keeping of the food though.

I'm sure it was raw chicken shaped into nuggets and then cooked because I found the dog shredding the plastic zip lock bag she had taken the raw meat to school in.

I assumed she had made the nuggets Calendargirl

From threads on GN many adults do not know much about the safe keeping of food either.

Oh, I see they had been in the bag all day.

shock

And we wonder why children eat the wrong stuff, and have no idea about safe keeping of food.

I assume she hadnโ€™t actually made the chicken nuggets?

Just heated up some bought ones?

What a waste of a lesson, if so.

They would be better teaching them how to make a healthy sandwich, or how to boil/poach/scramble some eggs.

I also assume they collected the nuggets before the end of the day.

All day, not refrigerated.

Were they in her school bag all day or did she pick them up before coming home?

I picked DGD up yesterday after a mooch around the shops with her friends after school. It was around 5 pm. At 7 pm I asked her what she had made in Food Tech at school. Chicken nuggets. What?? Surely they shouldn't have been sitting in her school bag all day since the first lesson on the timetable? Are they trying to make everyone ill?
