MrB bought me some Kennedys chocolate as a treat after my ultrasound this afternoon.

I had a craving for a Crunchie bar while doing my supermarket shop this morning. I haven’t tasted one in years but couldn’t resist the urge to have it. I enjoyed it with a mug of tea when I came home.

Then I had to treat myself to a dose of gaviscon to ease the chocolate induced heartburn .

I bought a cinnamon cheesecake in Tesco. I won’t be buying another. Not the treat I thought it would be.

Oh really? I saw those advertised and thought they would be really nice. That's disappointing.
However, I was in a really nice farm shop today and saw some beautiful looking strawberries, so I treated us to some - along with some of the farm's own cream to have with them!

Yes I thought it would be nice too and was looking forward to it. I don’t know what the key lime one or the other one (forgot what it was) are like.
The cheese cake I’ll describe as thick goo.

A cheese and Marmite loaf from my village bakery. It is delicious toasted and topped with real butter. I ate 2 doorsteps for breakfast.

Now that sounds like my idea of heaven!

Ooh that cheese and marmite loaf toasted 😋😋😋

Having bangers and mash tonight. Not exactly haute cuisine but enjoyable once in a while.

Certainly. My 'treat' today was the successful installation of a brand new heating system. No more wrestling with a temperamental 1970's night storage system which practically ate money.

I bought a pack of 9 original two-bar kit-kats wrapped in silver foil and paper, to share, obviously.

I went to the Asian store and bought a few treats Jalebi, Gulab Jamun, Savoury Diamond cuts, etc, some of which I will freeze, the rest I will consume in 2 hour intervals. Yes, I am greedy 😋

Yes honestly. I have reversed my diabetes for 8 years now. 1 milk chocolate square or 2 dark is my absolute limit

Aveline Fri 16-May-25 17:26:49

Really JamesandJohn33?grin

Not today, I haven’t been out. But yesterday in Marks, a bag of giant chocolate buttons. One a night

I bought a 4 pack of Fererro Rocher ice cream lollies, they will hopefully last me a few weeks😋 hubby doesn't normally like them, so I bought him a pack of 2 Portuguese custard tarts.

Very nice. I had a Solero mango flavour yesterday and felt very wicked

Witzend Fri 16-May-25 16:43:08

I’m usually a bit stingy with shop-bought treats, but today in M&S I picked up a big pack of mango chunks. We’ll have them for ‘pudding’ 😋
