I quite like Aldi's sweet potato chips done in the air fryer. I try to kid myself that they are healthy!

There's a bit more to that than chucking some frozen chips into an air fryer for 10 minutes though!

I parboil chunky chips, heat butter and olive oil, drain the chips in a colander, place colander over the empty boiling pan, pour the fat over the potatoes, turn the potatoes in the fat in the pan and oven cook for 20- 25 mins.

I was a chip pan fan until I tried this method.

for frozen chips ,I like Birds eye crispy, but I still prefer home made chips i a chip pan.

Koffmann’s Classic French Fries are lovely.

Will try that kittylester. I guess you coat all sides with oil?

Sorry, but none are as good as my own oven cooked chips - which are hardly more difficult than frozen.

Frozen oven chips were tested a few weeks ago in the Guardian.
Morrison's triple cooked skin on chips ( cooked in beef fat) were judged the best.

The only frozen chips I like are
Albert Bartlett Crispy Fries.
They are delicious.

Can anyone recommend frozen chips that are crispy on the outside and do not taste of reconstituted potato inside, please?
