I have been looking for boneless sardines in oil for quite some time now
Each time I go in a different supermarket it’s the same bare shelf.
It seems a strange as there are plenty in the sea!

The sardines have probably gone off with the Heinz sandwich spread.
I've been looking for a jar for ages, nobody seems to stock it.

I get mine in Tesco, but it is a hunt, and it sits with the Polish selection and pickles

Never knew you could buy boneless, but the bones are edible or quite easy to remove.

And a good source of calcium.

John West boneless sardines used to be £1 a tin, but now, if you could actually lay your hands on them, seem to be selling for £2+
I don’t really like fish much, but the boneless sardines were a great quick pasta dinner stirred through spaghetti with a dollop of cream cheese.
In our house, the dawg has sardines (the cheap Lidl ones in tomato sauce with their bones still in) on top of her breakfast biscuits two or three times a week …I may be forced to snaffle a couple of her tins instead

Thanks for all your replies. I went online to see if there were any and every single website said the same thing .
Out of stock or product unavailable .
So back to taking the bones out!

Sandwich spread in Asda

Poor sardines leave them in the sea to enjoy their little lives

Try telling that to the seagulls, Bluebelle!

In some areas, sardines are over fished but Cornish sardines are sustainably managed.
