Anyone else not mad keen on sweetcorn?

I have a massive bag of frozen mixed veg (peas, carrots, green beans, sweetcorn) used by a dd as an ice pack when bringing dinner recently. She’s left it here, so I’m duty bound to use it up (also taking up too much room in my small freezer) so we’ll have some tonight, with a roast chicken.

But since dh isn’t mad keen either, I shall be picking all the bits of sweetcorn out - before cooking - and it’ll be going out for the birds tomorrow.
At least it won’t be wasted!

Our chickens love it. I hate it.

I used to take a small tin of sweetcorn as a present for DD’s chickens, when she had them!

I don’t see the point: it emerges the same as it went down 🥴

I don't love sweetcorn, but I don't dislike it either. DH loves corn on the cob and often buys it (he does the shopping).
I would never ask him to buy those bags of frozen mixed vegetables, the only frozen veg in my freezer are petit pois and parsnips. We have a really good greengrocer in town, he's a 5 minute walk away, his fresh vegetables are superb quality.

Humans cannot digest the outer shell which is why it will always be visible in your stool.

It is useful aid to track your digestion time and far cheaper than Tim Spectres awful blue cookies.

Count me in. I almost loathe the stuff.

I noticed a bag of sweetcorn in the freezer the other day and I’d baked a few potatoes to reheat so I’m having them topped with sweetcorn and tuna tonight. I had some with a quiche last night, too. Having said that, eating it for two days running probably means that I won’t fancy it again for ages.

It's nice fresh from the plant. We usually grow it but this year it failed probably because of the lack of rain.

I don't buy frozen mixed veg because none of us like frozen carrots. Frozen peas and sweetcorn are fine so I always have those in the freezer.

I'm not sure I would bother refreezing any frozen veg after it had been used as an ice pack. We usually put ice cubes in a Ziploc bag for sports injuries.
