I cooked a ham yesterday and i just wonder if anyones frozen sliced cooked ham successfully? Last time Idid it into portions when I took it out it was quite wet and not very nice so is there a way that works better as I have quite a lot left over.

I've frozen sliced, cooked ham successfully. Seal in bag and when taking out of freezer, don't open till thawed, otherwise condensation will make it wet.
Sometimes I dice it up for use in dishes like pasta carbonara or ham and mushroom pie.

Not precisely the same, but I’ve kept cooked gammon in the fridge for a good couple of weeks. Usually in winter though (the C-word gammon).

How about making a pea and ham soup, and freezing that? Or chopped up bits in any vegetable soup, come to that.

Thanks for suggestions all,
Witzend I love pea soup sadly if it’s pea and ham for some reason it tastes really sweet to me can’t abide the taste. 🤢 I’ll have to freeze some anyway as there’s too much to eat it all myself

I do freeze ham but usually cube it rather than slice it

I freeze ham regularly. I roll bought ham slices and open freeze on a tray. That way the pieces stay separate and I can take out just the amount I need and thaw under an upturned bowl. Works fine. I open freeze gammon in slices and do the same. I’ve never had a problem.

That's been my experience too. Keeping the bag sealed until the ham has fully thawed really helps reduce condensation. I've also found that freezing it in smaller portions makes it much more convenient, since you only defrost what you need. Leftover cooked ham is so versatile—it's great in omelettes, sandwiches, soups, or mixed into pasta dishes, so it's definitely worth freezing instead of letting it go to waste.
