Think of the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme for the Limerick rhythm. I made loads of mistakes when I started adding to this thread. I was corrected very nicely by a poster who said I had to do one line and then if I ended the limerick I had to start the next one. So the last line should rhyme with the first 2 . Hope you don’t mind me telling you.
Actually Gemini that’s not quite right but I agree it’s a good idea to have a template, as it were.
The first two lines rhyme, and have approx 8 syllables each The next two both rhyme and have approximately 5 syllables each The last line is the same length as the first two and rhymes with them I started the next one as Grannylyn had forgotten to!
