Anyone else like to write some “ poetry “ ?

I think this might work.
I will quote a line from a poem I know and we can do our own version. The quote doesn’t have to be exact. Add a line to rhyme with the last one and an extra line for the next person. I’ll start with ....

My heart leaps up when I behold

Poetry didn’t work this time.

Thanks everyone who tried this thread. It didn’t seem to work out somehow. Maybe someone else could start one. I might drift back to the Limericks.
