Good morning all, here is Wednesday's offering.

I will try and post another pizza question about lunchtime, as this is quite an easy one.

Beechnut Wed 08-Apr-20 09:06:00

Finish together? Unless one starts chewing faster than the other ?

Marydoll Wed 08-Apr-20 09:11:04

It does involve some calculations.
Take it that they start at the same time and each starts eating a new pizza, both the same size, as the previous one.

gillybob Wed 08-Apr-20 09:14:11

I think they will both finish together MissDoll in 12 minutes?

Just going back to double check.

Marydoll Wed 08-Apr-20 09:25:17

Gillybob, you are quick off the mark, this morning! grin

annsixty Wed 08-Apr-20 09:27:45

I thought that immediately but then thought “that must be too easy”.

Gemini17892 Wed 08-Apr-20 09:36:05

I’m still trying to work it out ! Maths was never my strong suit.

I remember being surprised when a family of teenage boys visited and ate a whole pizza each. Being mostly girls in our family we share one and ate salad with it.

Gemini17892 Wed 08-Apr-20 09:37:52

Marydoll it reminds me of “ problems “ in primary school . I could never do them and was told to sit at the back and write a story because I asked too many questions. Says it all really.

Gemini17892 Wed 08-Apr-20 09:39:04

And another thing !

You saying it’s quite easy doesn’t help my inferiority complex ????

Pantglas2 Wed 08-Apr-20 09:39:11

I got to 12 minutes each an thought it too easy! Plus, who takes that long to eat a pizza when they’re ravenous?

tiredoldwoman Wed 08-Apr-20 09:39:58

both will finish at the same time .

tiredoldwoman Wed 08-Apr-20 09:41:51

Now , you've made me want pizza for lunch ! I'll time myself! smile

mary51 Wed 08-Apr-20 09:55:17

They finish both at same time

Squiffy Wed 08-Apr-20 10:25:53

Neither - they took so long dividing it up that the dog ran off with it .....

Sorry Miss! blush

Sunlover Wed 08-Apr-20 10:32:08

Finish at same time.

BBbevan Wed 08-Apr-20 11:06:18

Both finish together

CraftyGranny Wed 08-Apr-20 11:14:23

I agree, they both finish at the same time.

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:19:29

John in 9 minutes

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:21:09

Because Billy already ate one quarter of John's pizza before they started.
Greedy guts

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:24:42

Oh, I see, they finished the first pizza then each had another one. I should read on down he thread, but I didn't want to see any answers first.

Each took 12 minutes.
Now they're full but John is fuller because Billy ate one and a quarter pizzas and John ate one and three quarters.

Am I overthinking again grin

Nortsat Wed 08-Apr-20 11:29:39

I’m with Squiffy, I think the dog pinched the pizza ? ?

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:32:47

I would say Billy

Because John couldn't manage all his after eating most of the first one.

Doodle Wed 08-Apr-20 11:33:57

They both finish at the same time.
PleaseMiss I don’t like pepperoni. Can we have a different pizza? ?

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:37:27

I'll pick the pepperoni off for you Doodle

Don't touch the rest of the pizza for 72 hours afterwards, though.

Oops, the dog took another one!

Marydoll Wed 08-Apr-20 11:51:54

No solution for the moment, to let others have a go.

First warning to those who are trying to disrupt my classroom. So sad to see, that as well as the usual suspects, a few more are being led astray.

I'm wearing my sad teacher face ?at the moment. Doodle , Callistemon, are you listening? ?

Here's another pizza problem to keep you going. For goodness sake keep it away from the dog!
