Good morning all, here is Wednesday's offering.

I will try and post another pizza question about lunchtime, as this is quite an easy one.

Marydoll Wed 08-Apr-20 14:02:15

Has no-one noticed I'm not even in the classroom! You mean lot, it's your fault I had the meltdown!
Don't you ever read newspapers.
pizza, dog, boy, pizza, Doodle, Castillemon, pizza, ?????

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 14:00:23

I've just noticed that John is still stuffing his face with pizza.
Hasn't he slowed up by now?
Sorry, I was talking, Miss
What was the question?

Six minutes

But he's rolling on the floor now, saying he's got tummy ache and wants to go home.
Serves him right, I say

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 13:55:01

I don't know about anyone else but I'm not that keen on pizza and I saw Billy swipe half of mine and gobble it down as well, so that meant he slowed up at the end and John beat him.

He's still staring at the last quarter of his own pizza, said he can't manage it and I said to him, as all good dinner ladies say:
"You took it, you have to eat it"

Squiffy Wed 08-Apr-20 13:49:37

Doodle if your feet hadn't been so cheesy the dog wouldn't have been attracted to your sandals. So there!

Gemini17892 Wed 08-Apr-20 13:46:08

Just because he can. I don’t think he should . He’ll get indigestion and will be left with no friends if he won’t share fairly. ??????

Marydoll I never know if you’re joking or not in your questions. I bet you kept your pupils under control.

Good luck with Doodle though. ?

Doodle Wed 08-Apr-20 13:37:39

willa you’re in early. Nice to see you.
You can sit with me in class if you like. Miss will tell you I’m ever so well behaved ?

willa45 Wed 08-Apr-20 13:34:43

Good morning class! It's dreary and rainy here today (yawn, sigh), but it's past eight 'o clock and I'm ready for my day and my coffee, but too early for pizza..... maybe later!

So let's see....
It takes John 2 min. to eat 1/6 pizza (which means the entire pie would have to have 6 pieces and 6x2=12. Billy's pizza was cut in four, one piece in 3 min. (4x3=12)! It takes them 12 minutes each to finish their respective pizzas, so they would finish at the same time.

2nd puzzle
John eats 1/4 of a pizza in one minute (one minute per quarter)...a pie and a half would take him 6 minutes.

Doodle Wed 08-Apr-20 13:29:05

Miss,Miss, squiffy’s dog is eating my sandals Miss ?

Doodle Wed 08-Apr-20 13:27:41

Oh no Miss that cant be you. ?. What would we do without you Miss. I promise I’ll eat pepperoni pizza and not complain. Please come back to us Miss

Squiffy Wed 08-Apr-20 13:16:05

Oh MissDoll, I'm so blush as it was my dog that got the pizza! I'll try really hard to improve, but I'm very impressionable and easily led . . . I hope that you'll be back with us soon flowers

Alygran Wed 08-Apr-20 12:51:22

Marydoll thank you for making me laugh ?

Marydoll Wed 08-Apr-20 12:21:55

Some very sad news, just been released. ?

Squiffy Wed 08-Apr-20 12:14:26

John is having difficulty chewing because Billy punched him in the mouth when he wouldn't share the pizza, so that's slowed him down.

If that hadn't happened I think it would have taken 6 minutes.

FarNorth Wed 08-Apr-20 12:04:45

6 minutes,
unless he's too full and gives up.

Doodle Wed 08-Apr-20 11:58:50

6 minutes. But surely Miss if he’s already eaten the other pizza in the first question isn’t it about time he shared with others?
callistemon you can have my pepperoni but I will need a slice of your pizza to make up for it (not the bit the dog has chewed though ?)

Marydoll Wed 08-Apr-20 11:51:54

No solution for the moment, to let others have a go.

First warning to those who are trying to disrupt my classroom. So sad to see, that as well as the usual suspects, a few more are being led astray.

I'm wearing my sad teacher face ?at the moment. Doodle , Callistemon, are you listening? ?

Here's another pizza problem to keep you going. For goodness sake keep it away from the dog!

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:37:27

I'll pick the pepperoni off for you Doodle

Don't touch the rest of the pizza for 72 hours afterwards, though.

Oops, the dog took another one!

Doodle Wed 08-Apr-20 11:33:57

They both finish at the same time.
PleaseMiss I don’t like pepperoni. Can we have a different pizza? ?

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:32:47

I would say Billy

Because John couldn't manage all his after eating most of the first one.

Nortsat Wed 08-Apr-20 11:29:39

I’m with Squiffy, I think the dog pinched the pizza ? ?

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:24:42

Oh, I see, they finished the first pizza then each had another one. I should read on down he thread, but I didn't want to see any answers first.

Each took 12 minutes.
Now they're full but John is fuller because Billy ate one and a quarter pizzas and John ate one and three quarters.

Am I overthinking again grin

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:21:09

Because Billy already ate one quarter of John's pizza before they started.
Greedy guts

Callistemon Wed 08-Apr-20 11:19:29

John in 9 minutes

CraftyGranny Wed 08-Apr-20 11:14:23

I agree, they both finish at the same time.

BBbevan Wed 08-Apr-20 11:06:18

Both finish together
