The ultimate de-stressing game I think, I waste about half an hour every evening and always feel so much better afterwards - it’s my mini escape.

I never heard of it- Is it on Google play?

HurdyGurdy Tue 15-Dec-20 20:20:52

I used to play Gardens of Time, which is a similar thing, I believe. I have taken a break from it, as I was getting a bit bored with it, but will return to it again in future.

I keep getting adverts for June's Journey, and I'm quite tempted to give it a try.

It’s an app, you can play for free - I’ve got an iPad but I’m sure it’s on android as well.

It’s a detective game, find the hidden objects. You develop your own island with rewards you’ve won from the game, and you can join a team and play other games as a team as well, your team has a coffee break time each day and you can gift each other points to play more.

I dont play anything that contains in app purchases. I only play games or do puzzles that are completely free.

Casdon Tue 15-Dec-20 22:10:53

Me neither, I’ve never paid anything to play this - I wouldn’t on principle, it’s like throwing your money down the drain.

I found it on Amazon and it's free ?

lemongrove Tue 15-Dec-20 22:15:24

Yes Casdon it’s one of the many games I enjoy, very relaxing indeed. My island is coming along nicely?
I feel miffed when other detectives fail to drink my coffee in time ?
My favourite game though is Monument Valley, I completed both 1 and 2 and the few add ons and am waiting for the next game to be released. It’s addictive and good for the little grey cells.

lemongrove Tue 15-Dec-20 22:16:39

Monument Valley isn’t free but definitely worth it.

I’ve played June’s journey since it began. I’m on level 950. Love it... Thursday is my game day when I play all 5 scenes. Filled all the islands. Dislike the snow scenes but love the Japanese garden.

MissChateline Tue 15-Dec-20 22:21:08

I’ve never spent any real money on this game at all

Grannynannywanny Tue 15-Dec-20 22:27:26

I’ve not heard of it but I’m intrigued and might give it a go. I have an iPhone and I see it’s free in the App Store.

It mentions in app purchases. Is it possible to progress in the game without becoming involved in purchases?

lemongrove Tue 15-Dec-20 22:29:14

Yes it is....I have never paid a penny.

Grannynannywanny Tue 15-Dec-20 22:32:01

Thanks lemongrove, I’m off to the App Store to download it

rosecarmel Tue 15-Dec-20 23:28:23

Monument Valley is beautiful and calming- ?

BlueBelle Tue 15-Dec-20 23:33:50

I put lots of apps and games on but never pay for any minimoon there are loads of free ones

Casdon Wed 16-Dec-20 09:46:25

Not just me then - I’m impressed MissChatelaine, presumably you have to wait for the weekly updates now you’re on level 950, I’m not there yet, I’m on level 753 at the moment, it does get better as you go on because you accumulate so many more points so you can play more.
I’m going to have a look at Monument Valley, I haven’t heard of that one before - not sure I’ve got capacity to play two though!

lemongrove Wed 16-Dec-20 09:59:03

I think am on level 734 or similar..... anyway Silvio has just been shipped off to Malta in a crate with loads of fish?

lemongrove Wed 16-Dec-20 10:01:22

Monument Valley has lovely zen vibes, while also being infuriating at times when you can’t puzzle it out.I like the crows?and enjoy outwitting them. It’s a game that needs lateral thinking.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 16-Dec-20 10:07:09

I play Hay Day and the addictive Candy Crush will have a look at June’s Journey.

trisher Wed 16-Dec-20 10:16:18

Level 950 & 734!!! I'm put off already! Is it one of those things that goes on and on? I'm very wary since I got hooked on a Tony Hawks skateboarding game years ago. I could never go to bed. Mind I was workng then. Who knows maybe it's the perfect thing for lockdown! It won't matter if it's day or night!

lemongrove Wed 16-Dec-20 10:31:09

I hope it will go on and on trisher ?
It’s basically just a hidden objects game, but with a storyline and your own island that you build on.It’s gentle and amusing.

lemongrove Wed 16-Dec-20 10:32:23

I spend the most time on the free jigsaws online ( too much!)

trisher Wed 16-Dec-20 10:42:11

Now jigsaws on lne I do get. grin They keep me up as well-just one more piece!
